The hotel was delightful and clean with particularly good views of the ocean. This accommodation had a central setting in beautiful sub tropical gardens overlooking the sea. And it was also near off for 23 years and all shop and the port & the attractions of Funchal. I thoroughly enjoyed the room, the bed was lovely. The breakfast was gorgeous and really tasty, had lots of food.

Terrace, thoughtful tea making facilities and armchairs inside the twin room were handy. Really enjoyed a bath/shower in my fully equipped bathroom. It was in a central location, on the ocean.

Perfectly located. Near the City-Centre and the habour, but quiet. Looked like a country-quinta. Was a town-Hotel. Romantic. Free Internet. Breakfast not great but ok.
In the next few months, there could be a lot of noise, because a ugly hotel-complex nearby is currently in destruction (and new building?)

The hotel is more traditional in architecture and would appeal to visitors who prefer not to stay in 'standard' hotels. The gardens are lovely and the pool is inviting. The terrace garden view rooms have very nice private balconies. The breakfast has a good choice with particularly good fresh fruits and breads. The hotel has an exceptional foyer and public sitting area that is light, airy with very comfortable sofas. We were in Madeira in early May when the airport was closed due to the volcanic ash cloud. The staff could not have been more helpful and kept our room for us on a daily basis, they even reduced the price slightly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
It would have been nice to have the facility to make a hot drink.

Big and airy rooms with balcony, a useful coffee table, a good breakfast, heated pool. With an electric kettle and glassware. Great and beautiful location, a 10-15 minute walking distance from Municipal Garden of Funchal. Found in a fairly nice part of the town.

Great location, just a stone's throw away from a bunch of restaurants and close to the cable car station and other fun stuff to do. 🚠
